Serenbe: Nichols

After living in bustling Atlanta for 35 years, Donna Nichols sought a change that would allow for a more relaxed lifestyle but still within close reach of city life. She adapted quickly to her Serenbe home after relocating in 2006, enjoying a lush garden and the fresh air circulation allowed by porches, French doors and a classically Southern dogtrot design that bisects the main living area from the third bedroom.

Donna purchased her home after it was completed and had been frustrated by some features in her plumbing, including sinks that did not hold water and toilets that did not flush effectively. She was interested in the American Standard project in order to choose her own fixtures that would perform up to her expectations. While she says she has always been fairly conservative in her water use, she hopes to see additional savings to help reduce her water usage.
