Serenbe: Bullock
Pepper and Gwen Bullock moved to Serenbe four years ago and since then have become hosts with the most, hosting friends and family almost every weekend and overseeing large gatherings of family and work colleagues two or three times a year. Aesthetics of the bathrooms were important in designing their home, and with a steady stream of visitors, performance quickly became a factor as well with toilets that didn’t always perform as expected.
One of Serenbe’s first homeowners, the focus on conservation didn’t influence their decision to move here, but they have since become more aware of making eco-friendly choices and commitments in their lives. Gwen and her daughter, another Serenbe resident, co-published a children’s book “Grandma Goes Green,” that gives 10 easy tips on how to live a greener lifestyle.
Pepper is on the Board of Play Pumps International, a charitable organization dedicated to bringing fresh drinking water to remote communities in Africa. Since moving, they have purchased a hybrid vehicle and have become more active in both Serenbe’s community and also in its environmentally-focused mindset.
